Mick was dedicated to preserving the best of the Parish of Chevening. I was proud to work with Mick in opposing inappropriate development at Chipstead Lake and marvelled at his energy in pushing through the. work on the Parish Plan. He put great effort in setting up "Mick's Mailer" an invaluable font of information on the life of the Parish which is much missed as, undoubtedly, will he.

Wing Commander Ryan was my C.O. when I was fortunate enough to join the University of Wales UAS at St Athan in 1965. He was always enthusiastic and keen to pass on his enthusiasm for flying. I shall always be grateful to him for the start he gave me in my future career.
